About the aDolus FACT Integration Azure DevOps extension

The aDolus FACT Integration extension for Azure DevOps allows you to easily integrate FACT into your development cycle. This extension lets you automate the process of analyzing and uploading files to the FACT platform when you build a product through a pipeline in Azure DevOps.

The extension provides a service connection to authenticate the FACT API and the following three tasks for use in your pipelines:

• FACT Analysis task
• FACT Submissions task
• FACT File Upload task

The FACT Analysis task uses the FACT Composition Engine (FCE) installed on a Windows DevOps Agent to analyze a release file produced in a pipeline and create analysis results output.

The FACT Submissions task uses the FACT API Client installed on a Windows DevOps Agent to upload the analysis results output produced by the Analysis task to the FACT platform.

The FACT File Upload task uses the FACT API Client installed on a Windows DevOps Agent to upload a file to the FACT platform. Files will be analyzed on the FACT platform directly and can be uploaded to either the Product Files page or the Submitted Files page.
