Is FACT a threat hunting/threat intel service?

Absolutely not - we’re offering an ecosystem/market place that aggregates and shares software trustworthiness information with the community through a “FICO-score” for software that we call FACT.

Think of us as a “credit bureau” for software, but instead of merchants, banks and customers, we have vendors, security analysts, software tool companies and asset owners. Each willingly contributes info to FACT and can use the combined data to improve either the reliability of industrial operations (in the case of asset owners and vendors) or the services offered to customers (in the case of consultants and security software companies). Threat hunting companies can subscribe to the FACT file scoring database to learn more about specific files they detect in the wild so they can quickly separate the good from the bad. We also welcome whatever intelligence companies uncover about a file as a feed into FACT.
